A term that has become popular in internet marketing lately is Micro Niche. So, what is a Micro Niche?
A Micro niche is a small sub-niche or a specific part of a niche. An example of a niche in internet marketing is Weight Loss. An example of a Micro Niche in the Weight Loss niche would be a particular brand of diet shake, for example ‘Skinny Shakes’. So anyone looking for ‘Skinny Shakes’ would type ‘Skinny Shakes’ into their search engine and would be directed to ‘Skinny Shakes’. If someone was to type in Weight Loss products they may not find ‘Skinny Shakes’ on the first few pages of results.
The reason internet marketers use Micro Niches is that they need to attract customers to their website and they usually pay to attract those customers. If they are paying for customers they only want to attract customers who are interested in buying their product. The more targeted the customer the more likely the sale. Therefore instead of just trying to get anyone who is looking for diet products they would prefer to get those customers specifically looking for diet shakes.
It is beneficial to the marketer because they are getting a better return on their advertising expenses. It is good for the search engines because they are satisfying their customer’s needs and it is good for the customer because they are getting the product they want with less time wasted.
Micro niche marketing is an efficient way of satisfying the needs of customers, sellers, affiliates and the search engines.
