Where Are Your Monetisation Points?

You need to plan ahead when you set up your website for your internet marketing. You need to think about where you are going to put in your monetisation points and how you are going to present them to your customers.

When a customer opts in to your opt-in page, where will you send them next?

It is a good idea to send them directly to your one time offer. If you wait until they confirm their subscription, you may lose them. Some people don’t bother to respond to confirmation emails and some give you a fake email address. If you have a very compelling offer, you can get some of the ones who may have got away.

Another good monetisation point is on your thank you page. They have just signed up for your subscription or maybe bought a product from you, and they are in a positive state of mind. If you have a good offer, they may take it. Often an upsell will go on this page, especially if it is a thank you page for a paid product. You can even put in a downsell for the ones who don’t accept your first offer.

Once a potential customer is on your list, you should have an auto responder series of emails to send to them. You can have product endorsements in some of your emails or you can send product endorsement emails occasionally. Do not abuse this by sending many emails at first. Establish a relationship first.

Once your ezine has become popular, you can start to offer paid advertising. Customers or other markets will pay you to advertise their products along the side of your articles.

Plan your monetisation points from the beginning and they will flow better and you have the advantage of being able to prepare your subscribers for a positive sales experience that will enhance your relationship.
